On January 12, 2018, the international seminar on Modern Spatial Information Frontier Technology was held at B109 in the School of Environment Science and Spatial Informatics. The theme of the seminar is to promote the rapid development of modern spatial information technology, strengthen international academic exchanges and cooperation, expand the research horizons and views of teachers and students in our school, aim at the international frontier, and cultivate first-rate talents.
The seminar invited Ou Jikun, senior researcher from the Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics,Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Chen Wu from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Du Peijun from the Department of Geographical Information Science at Nanjing University, Professor Sang Jizhang from the School of Geodesy and Geomatics of Wuhan University and Professor Xu Guochang form Shandong University, and other nine Surveying and Mapping discipline frontier experts. Bian Zhengfu, the vice president of our college, Li Changgui, the party secretary, and about 130 teachers and graduate students of CESI attended the seminar.
At the opening ceremony of the meeting, Bian Zhengfu, the vice president of CUMT made a speech and briefly introduced the history of the CUMT and our achievements in recent years in subject development, practical teaching, international cooperation, and research work. He mentioned that in 2017, CUMT achieved three major achievements in scientific research: major contributions were made in the ecological treatment of coal mining in Xuzhou visited by General Secretary Xi Jinping, Mining Engineering and Safety Science and Technology disciplines were selected in the country's Double First-rate disciplines, and made great achievements in The fourth round of national assessment of the discipline.
Li Changgui, the party secretary of CESI, introduced the basic situation of CESI and the background and purpose of holding the seminar. He hoped that the participating experts can provide advice and suggestions on the subject development and personnel training of the Surveying and Mapping discipline.
The seminar was on the theme of Modern Spatial Information Frontier Technology. The experts participating in the conference respectively made a topic entitled Building Regional Precision Troposphere Delay Model Based on Improved BP Neural Network, GNSS: A Global Multiple Function Infrastructure, and Application of New Machine Learning Methods in Spatial Data Processing, Progress in Research on Navigation, Remote Sensing, and Satellite Space Technology at Shandong University, Beidou / GNSS ionospheric delay effect and satellite precision positioning, Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Information Retrieval of Soil Heavy Metal Pollution, Space Target Space-based Optical Monitoring and Cataloging, iGMAS Analysis Center Clock Product Synthesis and Evaluation, Remote Sensing of Atmospheric Water Vapor: A Global Prospect and Special report on the application of extended ADOP and its short-baseline BDS/GPS single-frequency single epoch positioning performance evaluation in the Asia-Pacific region.
