On September 27-30, 2019, the 17th International Mine Survey Conference (ism2019) was successfully held in Irkutsk, Russia. The conference was hosted by the International Mining Survey Association and hosted by Irkutsk National University of technology. It attracted more than 300 educational, technical personnel and relevant practitioners from nearly 20 countries such as Russia, China, Germany and Australia. More than 30 Chinese delegations from more than 10 national internal medicine research institutions, such as China University of mining and technology, General Coal Research Institute, China University of mining and Technology (Beijing), Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology, Taiyuan University of Technology, Henan University of Technology, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Anhui University of Technology and Tangshan Branch of General Coal Research Institute, attended the meeting.
Professor Bian Zhengfu, Professor Wang Yunjia, Professor Gao Jingxiang and associate professor Qin Kai, attended the conference and delivered respectively oral academic reports on "mine economic restoration for arid or semi arid regions", "integrated monitoring and analysis technology of underground coal fire", "advances in surveying and Mapping Science and GNSS technology" and "coal consumption in China: A perspective from space". Professor Bian Zhengfu attended the presidium meeting of the International Mining Survey Association and presided over the academic report of the branch venue.
During the conference, our delegation actively carried out in-depth academic exchanges on international cooperation in mine surveying with international counterparts from St. Petersburg University of Mining in Russia, AGH University of science and technology in Poland and Aachen University of technology in Germany. After the meeting, the delegation visited Irkutsk National University of Technology and held cordial talks with its vice president safkin and other teachers. The two sides reached preliminary intentions on the exchange of teacher-student visits and international project cooperation, visited the surveying and mapping laboratory and Virtual Simulation Laboratory of the University, and deeply understood the current situation of scientific research and teaching and the direction of advantageous disciplines of the University.
