On April 13-16, 2018, organized by the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education, and co-organized by Chongqing University , the “Seminar on Sustainable Development and Teaching Quality Improvement of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center” was held in Chongqing province.

More than 1,800 people from over 30 province, and form over 590 universities’ leader of experimental teaching demonstration center, head of functional management department, laboratory work manager and other teachers attended the seminar. Ma Changzhong, director of the Surveying and Land Information Center of our school, and Yang Min, deputy director of the National Virtual Simulation Teaching Demonstration Center for Mine Surveying of our school, attended the seminar.

Professor Zhou Yongyi, Deputy Secretary General of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education, Deputy Director of the Laboratory and Equipment Management Department of Peking University, Professor Meng Qingfan, deputy director of the National Biological Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Jilin University, Professor Xiong Hongqi, Director of Laboratory and Equipment Management Department of Southeast University and others made a special report on the research and practice of sustainable development of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the regulates management and development of content of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the construction and certification of exemplary virtual simulation experiment teaching project, and the research and practice of large-scale instrument and equipment open sharing.

This seminar is also a good opportunity for in-depth thinking and discussion in the construction of the experimental center of our school. The meeting allowed us to realize that there is more room for innovation in experimental teaching, construction concepts, and tools. This will be of great help to the application of the National Model Demonstration Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Project of our school in 2018, and the development of the National Virtual Teaching Demonstration Center for Mine Measurement.
