Associate professor Qin Kai participated in the 2018 annual conference of the European Geosciences Union
On April 8-13, 2018, the annual meeting of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) was held in Vienna, Austria. Associate Professor Qin Kai from our school participated in this conference under the support of the Jiangsu Provincial Innovation Team Project. This annual conference is the largest and most numerous geoscience event in recent years. It covers a number of branches of Earth Science, with 4,776 oral reports, 11,128 academic posters, and 666 separate scientific topics. 15,075 researchers from 106 countries participated in the conference, of whom 756 were from mainland China.
During the conference, Associate Professor Qin Kai of our school posted an academic poster titled A Validation Project for Trace Gas and Aerosol Products by TROPOMI/S5P over East China on the topic First Results of the Copernicus Sentinel-5 Precursor Mission, and gave an oral report entitled Multi-parameter anomalies before the Wenchuan and Yushu earthquakes in China on the topic Short-term earthquakes forecast and multi-parametric time-dependent assessment of seismic hazard. In addition, discussed the ongoing TROPOMI/S5P satellite verification work and the next work plan of the International Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Association's Remote Sensing Working Group on Atmospheric Environment with the partners of the German Aerospace Center.
