Shaoliang Zhang

Prof. Shaoliang Zhang is currently the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs at China University of Mining and Technology, and the Dean of School of Environment and Geo-informatics. He is a member of Society of Ecological Restoration (SER), Global Land Project (GLP), International Society of Mining Survey (ISM), International Low Carbon Research Center (ILCRC), China Land Science Society, China National Coal Association, and Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering. He also acts as the executive director of China Energy Society, and Jiangsu Association for the Science of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System.

Prof Zhang has a rich experience in teaching, achieving two provincial outstanding teaching achievement awards, and he has also undertaken a premium course and an online course The Real Estate Appraisal, and five teaching reform programs. His research expertise includes ecological resilience, ecological monitoring, and land resource evaluation. He has been in charge of 12 national research projects and more than 30 projects from companies. He published more than 240 papers and 6 monographs, won 7 State Scientific and Technological Progress Awards or Provincial Science and Technology Awards.
